Albert Bartlett is the UK’s leading grower and packer of potatoes since 1948 producing industry leader Albert Bartlett Rooster Potatoes. Purple Majesty potatoes were launched in Autumn 2010. They also supply own brand potatoes to high street multiples Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Asda and Co-op. North & South PR has been engaged since February 2010 to promote their branded potatoes.

Launch of Toy Story 3 with Albert Bartlett and The Walt Disney Company UK
For spring 2010 special edition Albert Bartlett Rooster Potato packs promoted the launch of Toy Story 3 with The Walt Disney Company Limited, giving consumers the opportunity to win a trip to the film’s World Premiere in LA. This was a first for both companies and represented the bringing together of two brands which are focused on delivering a quality family experience.  North & South PR assisted with the competition publicity and consumer liaison.

Launch of Purple Majesty Potatoes
In October 2010 North & South PR spearheaded the PR for the launch of Albert Bartlett Purple Majesty Potatoes into Sainsbury’s.  This was one of the biggest national launches of 2010, coverage achieved included extensive BBC and other TV and Radio broadcast, coverage in all major national and regional press which resulted in an overall value of £900,000+.

In Autumn 2011 North & South PR oversaw the design and production of an impactful yet compact sampling stand which included 3 ovens. Together with a team of Halloween themed promotional staff, over 16,000 samples were baked on the concourse at Victoria Station and offered to commuters over 3 days.  The stunning Albert Bartlett Purple Majesty stand became a living poster during this time.
